If conditions continue Texas may be in for a long hot summer. So far we have been having temperatures higher than normal, and we have also been plagued with haze from the Mexican fires.

The Lone Star Chapter hosted the TX mini- rally in Waco, TX in April. The weather cooperated nicely and a good time was had by all.

I attended the Houston May Rally, and they showed me a real good time. I think they took pity on me since Dorothy remained at home and took our daughter-in-law for a treatment following her cancer surgery. (she is presently taking a round of chemotherapy). I had to return home Sat. to attend the graduation of our granddaughter from the Univ. of TX at Arlington.

It won't be long unt if our International Rally in Lynden, WA. and it sounds as

though they have planned an excellent rally. Many will be heading out early. We plan to leave in Aug. so we can have plenty of time to enjoy the sights along the way.

Ed Kirk had 5 hours of major surgery recently and seems to be progressing nicely. We wish him a speedy recovery.

The Lone Star Chap. welcomed new members, Nathan & Betty Stoval at our May Rally. We're pleased to have them as members of the Royal Rover Family. Let's continue to recruit new members.

Our condolences to the famnily of John & Peggy Vandiver. Their son-in-law James McKanna, passed away May 21, after a long illness.

Happy trailering & good health to all!
