October 15 thru 18th the Houston Chapter had a joint rally with the Alamo Chapter at Coushatte Recreation Ranch. We had a wonderful turnout with 18 rigs from Alamo and 16 rigs from Houston. Also visiting were Joe and Judy Hopkins, Mr.& Mrs. Paul Hopkins. Also Ruth Cardwell and the McDonoughs from Lone Star Chapter.
Our rally started Thursday evening with Eddie's Chilli (Eddie had a lot of help). Friday night it was out to Manuel's for Mexican dinner. Saturday we had a wonderful catered Chicken dinner and a dessert table with no end. Sunday Breakfast was a variety of home made breads, followed by devotions, before many left for home.
Saturday night while we were playing games a storm came up. We got web feet going to our rigs. The storm was tornado-like with high winds and heavy rain. Sunday must-go-lunch had more than usual. Several people stayed over until Monday or Tuesday, until the roads reopened due to the heavy rain.
We are happy to announce that we have new members Joe and Judy Hopkins.
