Hubby did that and put in new wheel bearings. Now he is finding he needs 2 new magnets and can't find them. Anyone know a source. He found all kinds but these are the old round Kelsey Hayes ones with a red wire. If he can't find them he will have to change out the axles. I don't have time right now but remind me to look for the address of where to get them. The only gotcha is that you have to drill new holes in the new plates but that is easy by using the old ones as templates. Also, one should NOT try to use the leveling pads to jack up the trailer... that will cause damage. He said the backing plate is offset on the old ones, it's not on the new ones. And without changing the flange the brake drum bottoms out before seating.
