In case any of you are looking for a 78 or 79 Silver Streak Continental Atlas - I've found one for you! I'm up at my inlaws in Oroville, CA to celebrate their anniversary. Just around the corner I spotted this SS that's for sale. I don't have any pictures, but may try to take some later if anyone is interested. The SS has dual axels and looks to be in incredibly good shape. I only spotted 2 or 3 dents of any size - and they were only about the size of a dime or less. The lady told me it was a 79, but the date of manufacturing was 12 of 1977- so who knows. I did not see the interior, but if the exterior is any indication, it should be pretty good as well. The lady is asking $5000 or best offer. It belonged to her father who passed away a year or so ago. The only major negative is that the gold is all gone except in a couple of places. Apparently, that's not a big issue, thanks to Krylon! I don't have the phone number, but can probably get it if anybody is interested. I'd tow it home with me if I didn't have everything tied up in my 58! Let me know if you're interested and I'll try to get you in touch with the owner. I got the bug a couple of months ago that I wanted a brand new trailer. Well the people here in Texas wanted to give me 1000 to 2500 for our beauty. It still has all the gold! I told them I was insulted. Now that the fever has been cured, I am falling back in love with the old thing. I just wish it was more kid friendly! Hi all, I'll gather as much info as I can before I head back for home on Sunday. Home is Colorado Springs, by the way... It's going to be a very busy couple of days, but I should find some time to at least snap a picture or two! I'm betting that if somebody had a cash offer, maybe even well under 5K, she might go for it... It's covered with cob webs, so her goal is to make a few bucks and get it off her driveway... (although some sentiment is certainly attached...). I'll let you know what I discover! Steve -------- Original Message -------- Subject: RE: [SilverStreak] For Sale... Does anyone know if you can replace it with a new one from the rv part stores? Mine is a 1977.
