I really don't, but am copying this to members of the Silver Streak mailing
list, and maybe someone out there can provide information.

Any idea as to what an asking price might be?

  Forrest,

I recently discovered a 1973 Silver Streak 33'. It was purchased in '73 or
'74 by a couple approaching retirement with travel dreams which never
materialized. It sat in their back yard for years until the man died. His
widow, now early 80s, has kept it insured and in outside storage for all these
years. The inside is literally pristine. She says she and their
grandchildren "camped out" in it a few times in the backyard but the
appliances appear never to have been used. The carpet, furniture, etc. are
all new. It has all the kitchenware, bedding, etc in place, all new. The
outside is dirty, the gold anodized is faded silver, it has light hail damage
on top and upper sides, rusty LPG bottles, rusty OEM chrome wheels, rusty A
frame/tongue, cracked OEM Goodyear tires with 100% tread. It would need new
batteries, tires, bearing pack, and a wash and polish but is otherwise ready
to travel.

Do you have any opinions of what is it worth and if there any demand for it?
I know you can't be accurate without actually seeing it but just rough.

What an incredible find!! Like all things it is worth what someone is
willing to pay.

All I can tell you is that I paid $6000 for a 77 that was in incredible
condition, but not completely original inside. There was new flooring, new
floors, new SS water tank, new furnance, 5 new tires, new awnings and new
curtains. I got the receipts for all the new things that were installed
between 6-10 months before I bought it. The blue book for the 77 itself,
according the insurance company, was about $3500. The cost of all the new
stuff was over $4000, so I felt like I got a good deal. I bought this after
looking at NEW travel trailers that looked and felt like they were made from
plastic. Since we have had it we have replaced the airconditioner and toilet
( just did not like the idea of using a 30 year old toilet) and put in an on
demand water pump. We also replaced the vinyl trim and painted the areas
where the gold had faded. This was very easy to do...primer rustoleum paint
and antique gold spray paint. We love this trailer and it was worth every
penney to us.

Good luck and don't let this gem slip through your fingers!

Harriet

Not much.
It sounds like a "user." Just get it for as little as you can and then use it.
If it is as your description sounds, it has sat unprotected for over 30 years
in the weather.
To give you some idea, I recently acquired a '79 Supreme Saturn 31' that was
used about 5 years by an elderly couple and then was in indoor heated storage
until less than a year ago (about 19 years). New carpet, new Goodyear travel
trailer tires, new batteries, new awning fabric, exposed frame kept painted,
heat pump, everything in excellent working condition, aluminum LP bottles (had
to get new OPD valves installed), Western mag wheels, very little wear inside
or out. Reese WD hitch, wheel locks, chain drive hand crank dolly.
One small skin puncture on the left side from a tree limb. The front rock guard
has a ding on one corner. I had to put a new toilet in ($75) as the original had
cracks in the plastic.
I gave $7,500 for it.
