Hello! I'm sorry I was away on a family emergency. I'm sorry I wasn't
specific. The problem is in the 110v outlets, but only in the front portion
of the trailer. (The living/dining room outlet, the refrigerator outlet, the
oven light and the outlet over the stove.) Thanks, Celina

Ros,
Thank you for the offer, but right now we are in disarray. We had a
family emergency and we are in the process of going back and forth out of
town. This all happened the day after I sent the e-mail.
The problem though if you could help by e-mail is in the 110v outlets. The
living/dinning room outlet, the refrigerator outlet, the oven light and the
outlet over the stove. I will keep in touch. Thank you, Celina

Hi Celina,

I was wondering what happened. Sorry to hear about your emergency and hope
all is well.

I can try to help by email but it is cumbersome and tedious. Do you have a
voltmeter and know how to use it?

Does this model have a breaker box for the a.c.? It could be that a
breaker is not seated properly or the breaker is defective or the wire to
the breaker is not tight under the screw of the breaker.

I would also look that the associated white/ground/return wire is firmly
connected within the breaker box. Look for any wire nuts that have come
loose or vibrated and the wire broke.

Ros

Oops! Made the same mistake. I knew that Curtiss-Wright and Curtis Wright
were not the same company, but my fingers put the "s-" in anyway.
"McDonnell," too.
Sorry,
Al

- --------- Forwarded message ----------

In late 1946, Curtiss-Wright Aircraft Company and Wally Byam together
started production of a new post-war travel trailer based on Wally's
pre-war Airstream Clipper at the Van Nuys Airport (LA Metropolitan
Airport). After some months they split into the Wallace Manufacturing and
Curtiss-Wright Travel Trailers, but shared facilities until Wally struck
out on his own. This is why early Airstreams and CW's look similar,
varying in window styles mainly. In June 1949, three individuals, Kenny
Neptune, Frank Pollito and "Pat" Patterson, who had met each other while
working for McDonnel-Douglas, acquired the trailer business from
Curtiss-Wright, who sold the line to concentrate on making aircraft
engines, and they began producing trailers under the Silver Streak name
in south El Monte California, which it continued into the 1970's as a
separate company.
