I have a 73, 35-ish S.Streak that I picked up last fall. I've just recently began to evaluate it's overall condition. It is unbelievably well built. I have been reading the archived message boards, particularly trying to find out the after market supplier for the closet door latches the postings title as the subject...but the boards change subject to wiring pretty quick and I couldn't find the answer in any of the existing posts. So, can anyone enlighten me? I took her out for our first excursion, replacing the tires with 8 ply (vs 6) biased, poly, hiway trailer tires. The furnace worked great. but the LP guy wants to change out the valves. replacing them with a new gov't approved valve without any gage. Is there some alternative? I prefer keeping this ol ship as "like original" as I can and prefer having the gage. Any help? I could really use some info on where to get after market stuff and would appreciate any enlightenment from you who have already traveled down this path I'm just beginning. It's in great shape and is very clean and well kept. You're right, they're very well made. Mine has the skin all around and under it. My friend tells me that it would float! Almost anyway. :o) I don't know much about them, and couldn't really find much either. Funny, I came to Oregon from So. Calif. and had family in El Monte where Silver Streaks were made. Apparently they are no longer in business, but really I don't know much about them. If you have info., I'd appreciate knowing more about them. I have the info re: who owned mine, etc., but nothing really about the Brand. Hope to learn more about my S. Streak before too much more time passes. marian on 11/28/03 7:36 PM, Damohnfamily@xxxxxxxxxx.com at Damohnfamily@xxxxxxxxxx.com wrote: > Hey everyone.
