I had the following message posting to the message board on my site
several days ago. It may be true, but the name of the supposed attorney, and
the grammatical error contained in the message leads me to now believe
that the entire offering has been nothing but a hoax.
I will not be sending any futher updates on the supposed Ben Harper
offering.

I was asked to post this message for Mr. Harper. He asked that evryone
accept his apology for the long delay in getting the information on the
trailer accessories and parts out to everyone.
Mr. Harper has unfortunately just lost his wife and two sons in an
automobile accident and has been unable to attend to this affair as he
would like too.
He wanted everyone to know that he hasn't forgotten about you or the
need for these parts. And that he will attend to them as soon as
possible.
Again, please accept his sincerest apology.

I have been following this saga on-line hoping that I could get parts for
my 1975 Silver Streak.
It is sad to know that Mr. Harper is so desperate.
I have had my Silver Streak for a year and have done a few things but due
to lack of know-how it is slow going.
However, I am not going to give up.
Your pictures are an inspiration and keep my visual dream alive as to what
she will someday look like.
I live in Lebanon, TN; (if you know of any other silver streakers in this
area.)

I suspected it was a hoax when months ago I wrote to Tom and said the site
he said he was putting up www.vintagestreak.com ALREADY existed and had
nothing to do with trailers. Like you, I wonder what the motivation could
be. He sure put in a lot of time for very little bang to the buck.

I am continuing to clean and fix our new trailer, the 69 Sabre. The battery
is toast and I will replace it but I wanted to find out any information about
the battery charger first. Does any one have any experince with a Automatic
Battery Charger Model 35 by Mewmark Products in Santa Fe, CA? Is is one of
the better ones that never overcharges the battery so I can purchase the new
gel type battery or would I be better off to purchase the standard deep cycle
battery at the local NAPA or other battery place>
