Does anyone have any idea when Ben Harper's website will be up or does he
have a different URL from the one stated in this email?

Thanks;
Harriet

I have heard nothing new. Last I heard, Harper was over in Australia, and
nothing was going to happen until his return.

Thanks. The only reason I asked is because he said it should be up by the
20th....

I tried posting this to the message board but couldn't make it go so put it
here. Is something wrong with the board? I will try again later.

Our 1983 34 11 Silver Streak

My husband is finally starting to work on it again. He has little time it
seems. I had bought it to rent out on lots we own but after looking it over
and reading here I didn't want to. Didn't say much to hubby about it but I
think he has been talking to people. He came home last week and said you
know that is to nice of a trailer to do that to.!!!!! He said it will just
get torn up. YAH RAH, I think he's hooked.

I had said the trailer had gotten flooded in 1994 and some said we shouldn't
have purchased it. Apparently it was redone by the gentlemen in Conroe who
passed away last year or so the lady who sold it to me said. It does have a
salvage title. She said they had to do that to get the insurance to repair
it, I don't know. Well there was soft wood around the commode so he is
taking a section of the floor out. When he got to the frame he found that
it has been painted, is that something they did when they built them or we
are thinking was done when they repaired it after the flood. Anyway it is in
great shape. We are both greatly relieved. The trunk floor had also
deteriorated, looked like it was just floored with paneling. He measured
the floor and it's 5/8" plywood inside the trailer, is that what they used
in them? He took the partition out at the end, the sink, commode and the
countertop. The floor is only rotten in about a 2 foot area.

He has already replaced the axles and brakes as we couldn't find the magnets
anywhere.

All the cabinets are in great shape. There is a piece of paneling in the
kitchen that I thought was bad from a leak but now think it's condensation.
Took it out and the back is fine, no sign of moisture, the front is
deteriorated. Apparently the seller told the truth as the insulation is
dated 1994, she said it was replaced. So apparently we have a pretty nice
trailer after all. We replaced all the lights inside but 2, put in a couple
of new speakers for the radio. You can order the lights from the same
manufacturer, much cheaper than the RV stores. There is another piece of
paneling in the living room soft but not sure we are going to bother it.
It's rained a bunch here and no leaks I can see anywhere. When we bought it
a kitchen faucet was leaking and that has caused the countertop to swell on
one end so going to replace that also. My husband said once he has fixed
those things he is going to evaluate all the appliances, we know the water
heater works as does the stove top. We changed out the fridge from another
RV but haven't tried it. I would like to just get a small regular new one.

The vinyl in the kitchen and part of the bath was a kind of brick pattern, I
assume it was replaced. We are taking all carpet out of the bath and
putting down vinyl or maybe the Armstrong ceramic that is put in like the
Pergo.

I was hoping the gentleman with the parts would market them. I have several
things I would like to buy if possible. We may not wait that long though.

Anyway great news to me, hubby said when he gets it done we may take some
short weekend trips. YES! Since he is now working in the states if he has
to work away from home again he will live in it, this will be a tremendous
upgrade from the small one he has lived in before. A Happy Day for me and
our Silver Streak, these things get in your blood real quick. But when will
he ever get it finished??
