Put Reg # on roof Still a good idea to paint your license # and state on the roof of your trailer and tow vehicle or your MH. Al In the late 1970's and early 1980's, some RV (brand) club members were painting the club numbers on the roofs of R.V.'s in an effort to prevent stolen trailers which was happening quite a bit back then. This was a way of tracking their trailer by club numbers in case the vin numbers were destroyed. This may have been another place that the original owner of your trailer added their numbers for positive identification of their trailers. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2005 20:20:05 GMT From: "waymark1@xxxxxxxxxx.com" <waymark1@xxxxxxxxxx.com> Subject: Re: [SilverStreak] Three water valves? PEX instead of PVC, etc. Instead of PVC consider PEX. It is rather freeze resistant especially if the system is not pressurized when subjected to freezing. Crimp tools are a little expensive ($100+) but the store you buy your PEX supplies from may loan you one, as the store I bought my supplies from did. Non-crimp fittings are also available but are expensive and much bulkier than crimp ring type fittings. Should use the same brand of pipe, fittings, crimp rings and crimp tool throughout if possible. Al Michael, The hose and clamp configuration is not factory!! All was copper, however, the copper when frozen, but not enough to burst, would swell so that the standard fittings would not fit and could not be used to repair a break, so the hose and clamps was the normal repair. This was on most if not all repair unless the whole system was replaced with pvc or other type.
