Ben Harper didn't provide an e-mail address. I have posted a message asking
him for one, and we'll just have to wait. At this point I just hope it
wasn't some kind of sick joke. We'll just have to wait to find out.

I have been tempted to suggest this Harper thing was a trick (as Tom has
surmised), perhaps by a disgruntled former listee?? I hate to think of
human nature being such, but...

Anyway, since everyone's attention has been raised, I will try my
question one last time. (If someone replied and I missed it, sorry, or
if it is just so dumb...sorry again).

As you may recall, we had a little run in with a gas pump and punctured
the rear curved panel on our SS. Some very nice listees recommend a
place in Sac CA to have it repaired, but they worked on AS. My question
is, is the alum the same--I mean the finish? and can such and aircraft
repair shop or anyone get the necessary kind? If they replace that
panel, will it look like a car that had only one fender repainted??

Yea its gonna look different, depending on how old the trailer is, how much
has it been weathered and so on. I did some work on mine and it was very
different. I used 6061T3 bare aluminum not alclad. Fortunatly a previous owned had
washed the trailer with some type of chemical that dulled the origional
appearance or finish. so i did the same thing then it matched very good. If you
going to polish out your entire trailer after the repair use the 6061T3 aluminum.
Good luck on finding the same style rivets. i used AN430 style acft rivets.
good luck.......Dick Lambert

Oh, what an incredible find. I'm interested in parts to, may be some things
we can use I wonder if they have any paneling, though that would be awfully
awkward to ship even though we only need one sheet. Anyway will be waiting
for your inventory. If it's as extensive as it sounds you may have to make
up a catalog or something like that. Glad somebody saved all those items.
Would love to have one of the trailers but they will sell for too much I'm
sure.

Jim,

I don't believe that Benjamin is a member of this e-mail list. If you want
to contact him, you will need to obtain his e-mail message from where he
supplied it on the Silver Streak message board on my website.

To see his (as well as other folks) postings, go to:
