you could write RVI and maybe they could figure it out (may have record of
nos. sent to Silver Streak)--might be able to tell
you the year plate was bought ....
also, I see an email add on a Silver Streak website (kooltrailer@xxxxxxxxxx.com)
that may have info
.... also, whatever state is or was titled in maybe could look back at the
supporting documentation (original certificate of origin)
and give you idea....

as I recall, the last Silver Streaks made were special made (over
$80,000) -- up into the 90's ... outside looked same -- these babies have
always been made to last(!) .. think the guy that rebuilds Silver Streaks &
other old trailers is in Chino(?) Calif. and sells them
to movie stars, but can't think of name....there was program on History
channel about it.....
Airstreams and Avions are ok, but SS really made solid -- we had a terrific
Avion, but was getting hard to find parts & repairs

Brian and Tamela

I would be willing to guess that your trailer may be a 1979? I looked at
my Vin#
and it has "77" within the last 4 digits. My trailer is the 3200 1977
Continental Supereme Luxury Liner. Yours has "79" in the vin number. Just a guess
without further investigation. Your trailer is the 3200 Series but is
actually 33 1/2 feet long. You may want to check out the brochures on Tom's
website because there are many brochures of various years that you can match up
some details. My trailer has a small metalized sticker on the back side near
the living room window and just below where the radio antenna is connected that
gives a manufacture date of 09/76. I have already confirmed with the late
Bob Ashby that this was an early 77. Another clue is in the middle of 77, SS
started installing radiused anodized windows so they were rounded on the
corners from that point on.

good luck!
