Calif. and sells them to movie stars, but can't think of name....there was program on History channel about it..... Airstreams and Avions are ok, but SS really made solid -- we had a terrific Avion, but was getting hard to find parts & repairs Jim & Karen in central Florida - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Silver Streak Digest" <sslist-admin@xxxxxxxxxx.com> To: <sslist-digest@xxxxxxxxxx.com> Sent: Monday, February 07, 2005 1:30 AM Subject: Silver Streak Digest V1 #135 > > Silver Streak Digest Monday, February 7 2005 Volume 01 : Number 135 > > > > > ----------------------------------------------------------------- > When replying to a message, please delete all unnecessary Digest text > > To unsubscribe or change to an e-mail format, please go to > http://www.tompatterson.com/Silverstreak/List/listoffice.html > > Topics in Today's Digest: > > [SilverStreak] New List Members > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Date: Sun, 6 Feb 2005 22:59:47 -0700 (MST) > From: Bryan Crockett <bryan@xxxxxxxxxx.com> > Subject: [SilverStreak] New List Members > > Hello all! > > We are so excited to belong to this list - we have just purchased a 70's > model SS 3200 Continental Supreme and are so excited to get busy with a > few repairs and upgrades! I looked at my Vin# and it has "77" within the last 4 digits. My trailer is the 3200 1977 Continental Supereme Luxury Liner. Yours has "79" in the vin number. Just a guess without further investigation. Your trailer is the 3200 Series but is actually 33 1/2 feet long. You may want to check out the brochures on Tom's website because there are many brochures of various years that you can match up some details. My trailer has a small metalized sticker on the back side near the living room window and just below where the radio antenna is connected that gives a manufacture date of 09/76. I have already confirmed with the late Bob Ashby that this was an early 77. Another clue is in the middle of 77, SS started installing radiused anodized windows so they were rounded on the corners from that point on. good luck!
