It was originally set up as a club for owners of Streamline trailers, by the Streamline Trailer Club, but from the earliest days, the members objected to the club being a "Company" club, and only for owners of Streamline trailers, so that owners of any brand were allowed to join. The Streamline trailer was produced by one of the original owners of the Silver Streak Company who left that company about 1958, and as a result, there is quite a resemblance between the two makes. The Streamline Company however went out of business in early 1974, and after that date there were no longer any of this brand of trailer produced. As a result, very few of the current members now own Streamline trailers. You would be welcome to attend a Royal Rover rally, but you are not going to find very many, in fact, maybe no vintage trailers at such a rally. If still interested, get back to me. - -Tom - ----- Original Message ----- From: <LAURAANDDON5@xxxxxxxxxx.com> To: <sslist@xxxxxxxxxx.com> Sent: Monday, September 22, 2003 8:57 AM Subject: Re: [SilverStreak]ROYAL ROVERS > I'M A PROUD OWNER OF A 1953 CLIPPER AND LIVE IN THE PHOENIX AREA. Doug is a photographer, and this book features photos of a number of vintage trailers of all brands. He will be following up with another book next year entitled "Silver Palaces", dealing with Airstream, Spartan, Silver Streak, Steamline etc. trailers, but this current book likely contains some SS content too. - -Tom Doug Keister, who did the Friday night slide show at the Silver Trailer Social, asked to me send out a message to let you all know that his book launch is next Saturday (Sept 27). You will get both. Actually, this works because there are two different address files, one for the regular list, and one for the digest. - -Tom - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeffrey Fryckman" <fryckman@xxxxxxxxxx.att.ne.jp> To: "valist" <valist@xxxxxxxxxx.com> Cc: "sslist" <sslist@xxxxxxxxxx.com> Sent: Monday, September 22, 2003 10:33 PM Subject: [SilverStreak] best of two worlds > Is there a way to receive both the digest and full list mails? > > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > When replying to a message, please delete all unnecessary original text. > > To unsubscribe or change to a digest format, please go to > http://www.tompatterson.com/Silverstreak/List/listoffice.html ------------------------------ End of Silver Streak Digest V1 #12 ********************************** ----------------------------------------------------------------- When replying to a message, please delete all unnecessary Digest text To unsubscribe or change to an e-mail format, please go to http://www.tompatterson.com/Silverstreak/List/listoffice.html
