Gus -- Sounds like a tongue twister!

I'll probably stick with the name I've chosen (Just looks right in print),
but I appreciate your comment. Getting to the heart of the issue, it seems
to me we might divide Silver Streaks into three "ages". Early Age,
1948 - 1962, The Anodized Age, 1963-1986 and the Zuschlag Age, 1987-1997 .

Given that within the Silver Streak world there are three basic groups (anyone
jump in here if I'm missing something) I'll do my best to try to appeal to each
era.

Having said that, I'm more than happy to accept any submissions on any topic,
but most especially on the Early Age and the Zuschlag Age. My Sabre is a 1972,
and much of my research will be built around getting the best experience
within my own Silver Streak. Surely there are those out there who can speak to
the other timeframes with far more experience and vested interest. Keep the
ideas coming!

Thanks -- Jamie G.

Good morning all. i'm working on a 1958 Clipper and as such have added
electric brakes, safety chains, break-away switch for basic safety. The inside
will be an entire rebuild to include full stripping, replacement of all
appliances to include a hot water heater with skin cut-through, etc. i'd be glad to
start a detailed description of my trial/errors/etc. if you think it would be of
benefit. just let me know and i'll start in a separate file for forwarding
at entervals. best regards, jim -)

Jim (and all), I've been very inactive lately due to massive crazyness in
my life, but I have a '58 as well - a '58 Jet in this case. I have a
website that chronicles the work I've done thus far:
http://www.thesl8s.com/silverstreak that you are welcome to look at. I'd
personally love to see pictures, etc. and would be willing to post them
(if/when I get the chance!) on that site for you. You can email me
directly via: steve@thesl8s.com if you'd like. I haven't had the chance
to touch mine for over a month (probably longer) and it's driving me
crazy! I can't wait to get back at it!!! On a different note, some time
ago I had mentioned a '64 SS for sale in CA. We basically ran out of time
and had to leave w/out asking all the questions I planned to ask. I
apologize to those of you who were interested that I have not gotten back
with you. If any of you are still interested, I can try contacting family
members who live in the area - but they don't always get back to me...
but I can try! Thanks, everyone! Steve
