For what its worth, I have a '65 Streamline Duchess which had plastic "Streamline" logos on both the front and back. It also has a plastic "Duchess" logo under the "Streamline" one in front. Both Streamline logos were badly cracked with pieces broken off. I was able to obtain an intact plastic logo, and after trying several shops in Houston, I finally found one - Astec Castings, which was able to make a mold and provide me with the logos in cast aluminum. They worked very well. The "Duchess" logo was in good shape, so I left it alone. It took several trys again with the paint. At first I sprayed them with blue paint from a rattle can, but the wind soon wore the paint off. I next got some blue spray paint from a local model shop, and that has lasted a number of years. It is the same paint that they use on these small model racing cars. A bit pricey, but well worth it. If anyone is interested, I have the address and phone number for Astec Castings. I assume that they are still in business. -Tom ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patti Glover" <silverstreaker1966@yahoo.com> To: <sslist@tompatterson.com> Sent: Saturday, April 26, 2008 8:08 PM Subject: RE: [SilverStreak] 73 Continental Rocket restoration >I have a '66 SS with plastic emblems in front and back.
