Hi, I'm from that Island Park area originally and had a week up there myself. One note on the oven. It may or may not apply. On the old O'Keefe and Merritt gas range I have in my house I can also light the pilot light but there is a primer or a plunge-type push button on top of the range that I have to hold down for a fair amount of time and then the gas will go down the tube. After having done this one time then the oven will light every time as it should. I know I have to do this "priming" on several devices that are natural gas in my home. I turn off the gas when I go on trips and then have to do this when I return home. It is conceivable that there's something like that to be used on the oven of your stove. It's just a thought anyway. Happy Trailering! Chris ----- Original Message ----- Hi all, Just wanted to send a Thanks to all who have been so helpful in our restoration process with our 1970 Atlas Continental. Took it to Island Park for a week. Things are all working fine. Except the Oven(pilot lights but won't go down the tube to heat the whole oven. We have new frig, water heater, AC, Converter, Yamaha 2400 Generator, New flooring, Toilet, Refinished Cabinets, water filter, white tank. We would not have been so successful without this digest. A couple of notes for those in the process. We found the main source of leaking(other than obvious holes in skin) to be the seam where the bottom skin meets the top and there is a trim piece. Especially near the doors to heater compartments etc. We took the trim all off and placed a seal under there to prevent the water backing up in that lip(Hope that makes Sense to you all). When using generator for AC, we had to shut off the Fantastic Vents and unplug the Converter to get it to power up, but then nice cooling. We have an empty parlor that we would like to put a ushape seating/table/bed in. If anyone has done that we would appreciate insight and location for foam, help with cushions etc. We towed with 2500 Silverado short bed and had no problem going 70. The 8 miles to gal was a jab, but pulled great. We installed a grey water tank and it worked fine, it is small so we have to dump grey water every day, but oh well. We can't complain. Our new norcold frig had some cracked shelf holders so we took it back to be replaced. They were good about that thank heavens, they are expensive units. We need to get the outside finished up with the new logos. I am not sure if the letters should be red or white with red shadowing and background. I have seen Both. We are looking for gold metal that they make magazine holders out of and put on the walls. We need to make a door cover for the heater access (under the stove area). Does anyone know what they looked like originally or have a pic of that area? Thanks so much Happy Streaking to you all. Dave and Sherylyn
