Curtis, I've tried just about everything on scrap anodized pieces. So far nothing damages it or affects this acid etched, nickel electrolysis process. The gold is able to be affected so super careful there but the rest seems impervious to everything except grinding. Anodizing cannot be re-anodized or polished. Just try it. I have even used steel wool and Murphy's oil soap. If your worried about the so-called bits of residual steel wool which has not happened to me even on polished aluminum, just use kit car was afterwards and take that off wet. The was removes most everything. Do small areas at a time out of the sun when the metal is coolest. Is really hard to make any changes on this surface. Even ammonia cleaners such as 409, Fantastic, etc. did not affect it, but I'd keep that off the gold. -Eddie- Houston, TX
