Hello,
I have a 73 Continental Rocket and when I bought it this same thing 
happened, after reading the manual the trailer has no grey water tank, just 
a black, They are set up to just drain in a gopher hole in the ground.  In 
other words, the water backs up because there is no grey tank. You have to 
open the grey tank valve located on side of trailer and just let it run on 
to the ground or in a gopher hole that you dig.  Some camp spots allow this, 
others do not.
Yes it is a pain, but some here have had a grey tank installed.
