Another fix is to replace the current unit with an "apartment" size
110 Volt unit, I have one that fits exactly.  When I am on the road, I
use some dry ice or a block of ice to keep things cold until I get to
the campground.  (Also I usually shop for perishables when I get close
to an overnight destination).  The cost should be about $300, and you
have better performance than the Dom. on 110V, at a saving of $900.
As I travel with a Generator, I always have 110V available, even when
camping in remote areas.
