I don't know about trailers, but aluminum Romex does not meet code in California and is illegal to install. The aluminum oxidises and cause shorts. Perhaps Weston, the Aluminum Wizard, can shed light on this or perhpas an electrician.

I would not use Aluminum for anything. YMMV.
