Donald,
My satellite system remains ungrounded, except through the 120v supply, I believe lightning strikes are what they're worried about. I basically don't know too much about it, but I'd say a leveling jack on concrete isn't a good ground. Maybe the hams can help?
Jon.

One of our fly-boy list members may speak to a trailing strap off of airplane wings: isn't that what they do--dissipate the static?
Let me know what you did about grounding your satellite dish. The guy who installed mine indicated that the Airstream was grounded (really?)and that was enough. I inferred that he meant through the l20 v. supply, but did he? and is it? And should I drive a copper stake deep and ground it? When I had cable TV installed once upon a time, the guy "grounded" the coax with alligator clips stuck to my BAL leveling jacks which were down on solid concrete. Was that grounded???
Any comments will be helpful.
