Hi Alex,

A lot of folks will tell you that the only vintage trailer worth spending the money on, not to mention all the time effort and sweat, is the Airstream. I believe somewhat differently. We like old trailers, have two Airstreams and am looking at aquiring a really neat old Avion. We always keep an eye out for a good old Spartan and of course the old "Teardrops". If you get the the SilverStreak, I know of a group that would welcome you with open arms...The Tincan Tourists

(Forrest Bone is the guy who reorganized that outfit, put it all together AND incidentally is the Pres. of our Vintage Airstream Club).F23BONE@aol.com. Send him an e-mail and get his thoughts.

The later SilverStreaks have/had bands of gold anodized on the sides and/or front, but I doubt the older ones have the gold, so they should polish up just like an Airstream. If it is in the 16'-24' range, all the better. Enjoy.
