I use sythetic everything. oil, trans fluid, and rear axle gear oil in the
tow car ('76 Chrysler. And synthetic grease in the wheel bearings of the
trailer and car.
Interesting note: according to the most recent Trailer Life. Ford will up the
tow rating on the F550, due to changing to synthetic gear lube in the rear
axle.....!
