Probably the most-important parts of that maintenance schedule concern the
wheels and tires. Keep the pressure "to spec"; don't ever let it get low. (a bit
on the high side will be less harmful than low pressure) Check tire pressure
before you've gone a mile.

Keep those lugbolts tight. And be sure that the bearings are lubed regularly and
properly adjusted when you reinstall them after cleaning/repacking. Be sure that
your brakes are adjusted properly and working as they should.

Although the other maintenence items are important, the above is all too likely
to cause catastrophic failure, endangering you and others if neglected.
