hey Dan,
Great question!
So far I have only cooked frozen dinners in the microwave. I really
like Lean Cuisine pasta primavera.... then I discovered my fingers were
hurting....SALT!!! I like them because they are full of salt. So I will
need to cook. My favorite cooking things have teflon type bottoms and I
only use
professional weight stuff. My best frying pans came from Sam's Club.....
Once, when I was first married, the first time I didn't have a stove and lived out of an electric frying pan... 3 meals a day!!! Can you say Hamburger Helper? :p
Now as I don't eat mammals I cook a lot of pasta..... I think I will
need to replace the faucet on the kitchen sink so I can get a pasta pot
under it. My other necessity is a Cuisinart. I make....brace yourself Doug.....
instant coffee...(bring 2 coffee cups just in case)... in a Hot Shot. Of
course I
have a microwave.
For dishes and silverware I went to Sam's and bought a big pack of Chinets and the "heavy" clear plastic silverware (Oxymoron alert). I will probably switch to Melmac when I full time. I do use a real cereal bowl as I don't want to put milk in a chinet.... even I have my limits (c:
I can't bear the thought of selling everything so I plan to store it in a container at United Van Lines... or Allied or whatever. Then if I get out west and find a place I have to live I will buy a log cabin and send for my stuff. I don't see how anyone pares down to just a few things...... my stuff is too important to me.
