That is a terrific idea. Actually, if you make the non slip sheets big enough they can double as place mats.
Someone asked how can you protect crystal? How about placing them in
large Styrofoam coffee cups. When the cups are not in use as protection
they can be stacked one inside the other and they don't weigh very much.
I've noticed in some fast food places that the jumbo coffee cups are really
quite large.
