I have heard of putting coffee filters between each plate. Of course you can also buy that "non slip" shelf liner stuff... maybe cut it and put it between each plate. Not sure what to do about crystal.... are we talking wine glasses? What about a rack where they hang upside down.... with something to
"lock" them in at the out end.

I have no idea how to protect the crystal ball though...........
