Hi all, I have been spending hours trying to finish up "Bullwinkie" for a
trip next week, so I've bearly had time to skim through posts. let alone
reply to postings. But, my '73 also has 4" square metal patches, one each
behind the wheels on my single axel 21' TT for jacking the trailer. She
also has a spare tire holder made of metal under the front part of the TT
behind the A frame.

I have decided to install a good quality indoor ourdoor carpet (olefin),
which I ran all the way into the rear bath. It really bothered me that
the best view window from inside the trailer was in the rear bath. So, when
I realigned the bulkhead wall, I took out the goofy pocket door and cut back
about 18" from the galley side bulkhead to open up the space. This created
a 37" wide door opening to the bath into which I installed a walnut finished
vinyl folding door (for 1/2 the weight I might add) to close for privacy
needs. In the meantime, the 21' (which is actually 16' inside) looks so
much more spacious with the one continous color of flooring. And I picked
the carpet up at Home Depot as a remnant for $50.
Bill's finishing the plumbing, which we decided we would redo the whole
kit-and-caboodle in copper, as our attempted repair last year using QEST
plastic failed miserably. John Brooks' tambour doors fit perfectly for
under the center couch/bed, but won't work for the overhead cabinets so I
gave up on the tambour for that area for the time being and made new cabinet
doors that flip up. (If anyone could use these, well travelled, but in
great condition tambour, let me know (3). I also have some newer almond
vinyl tambour) I also have some misc. trim. Thanks for everyones' postings
on really great info.
