Hi all,
Please can someone help me with this one? I am about to start on the interior of the '75 Ambassador...it is currently done out in mixed shades of brown, from sludge to beige, via grunge, and although I am going to change very little of the interior structure, and I am going to keep the overhead cream locker with tambour shutters entirely original. I feel this could be a starting point for a 50''s diner look, or soda fountain style,as in my view the Airstream has a shape which lends itself to 50's style, and the 70's is as someone put it "the dark ages" for Airstream, and design in general.
Trouble is, I know very little about 50's style apart form vague imaginings in my head, and my question is this.......does anyone know af any sites on the internet whare I can see any examples of 50's design in any form at all...atrefacts, shops, clothes or interiors? Please........Hunter, I love Art Deco too, but it's too expensive...how do you feel about the 50's?
