Slime does indeed prevent flats. It forms fibers upon exposure to outside air. These fibers instantly plug the tire before air escapes. I just keep 12oz of Slime in each tire. It will seal up to 1/8" in a tube type and 3/16" in tubeless. You never even know you have stuff in your tires, so you need to inspect them.

[Burgeson, Stephan and Anne] Does Slime actually prevent flats? I have a single axel Tradewind with new tires, but the stories of flats on the trailer causing fires, flipping, etc. scare the _____ out of me. Slime sounds great if it can prevent most flats. My dad used to sell a product called True Ride which was supposed to do the same thing.....unfortunately was asbestos I believe, and quite a mess.
