Do I understand correctly that these regulations apply only to "portable" tanks subject to DOT certification? What about built-in tanks, to ASME specs I believe? I find it hard to believe they have no recertification requirements? (as a longstanding SCUBA instructor and oxygen therapy instructor I am somewhat conscious of tank certification requirements ...). My present motorhome (28 foot Argosy) is 20 years old and I dare say the LPG tank is the same age. It does have a functioning OPD valve, always did have so far as I know, and a gauge separate from the valve. What does the future hold in store for this kind of installation?
