Rich, thanks for the info, those tank selectors are a weak spot, mine leaks from the back left side
tank to the (lower) front right, eventually causing it to overflow unless you drive or park on a slope.
One of those endearing individual characteristics. I might guess that's why yours was
replaced/messed with. . JC Whitney sells an electric fuel tank selector valve for $36, part
#81KT2686W (can be wired so switches the gauge reading too) which is what I'll go for to cure it.
