I use a convex mirror that attaches to power trailer lift with a magnetic  plate. I put a white foam coffee cup over the hitch ball and another over the upraised trailer locking handle. I can see both cups in the view mirror and match them up. When cup on ball passes under the other cup I stop. Works pretty good and I hit it the first try about70% of the time. This saved my marriage. Got it a Camping World several years back for about $7.00 but don't recall seeing it in catalog lately.
