It is an electric, 117 volts 1200 - 1500 watts. It uses a barium titrate ceramic heating element, with silver/brass coating, I think. Pellonis has a website www.pellonis.com , but I havn't looked at it. The unit is 6"x6"x6". (There are ceramic heaters that plug to your LP gas system that are good, someone on the net may comment on these also).

This furnace was recommended by a co-worker with a 33' 5th wheel as a means to keep the inside of the trailer warm, (especially during inactivity). He said he got 2, but 1 will run you out and occupancy temps. So far we are happy with it, but it only went to 5 deg above freezing.

We live in the Richmond area. It might snow here and it might not. Winter could be real bad (like 3 years ago) or not. This past winter we went to the Ham-A-Rally at Christmas, FL for 10 days. When we returned, I let the LP furnace set on the lowest setting for the thermostat (40 deg). No problems with freezing. I left the cabinets open to allow warm air circulate to the under cabinet plumbing with no problems.

Others here on the net may have additional comments regarding short term winter layovers, like maybe Charlie Burke.
