Re low taxes: beware of taxes on intangibles and investments which Florida has. While low, if you have been salting away money in a 401K it may offset what ever savings you get on lower registration.

It is a thicket out there. Here in CA we pay a pretty high registration fee. On the 94 Dodge it was $800+. It was high on the AS, too. California is a beautiful state and has benefits for the taxes paid. But if I am not here to enjoy them, why pay for them. Taxes with low taxes offer nothing because they cannot fund it. Another thing to keep in mind.
