What have you folks discoverd to circumvent the high cost of taxes in some states. I have heard that Nevada, Texas and Florida are the states to register in but am unsure of the individual advantages and disadvantages for each state. Can anyone help. >>

Wow Bob,

Your timing for that question is eerie... I was going to write the same question myself today. Hmmm... the Psychic Hotline at work (c:

When I sell these farms I will be propertyless.... so I am researching states too. I just found out CO has personal property tax on vehicles which is what I want to avoid. I may register everything using a friend's address in Cincinnati.... they have no PP Tax.... BUT, I would have to go there every year for emissions testing )c: My 'Burb costs apprx 700.00 a yr in PP taxes.

One, of many, good things about "Escapees" is that the address in Texas gives you full access to network channels on Directv.

I don't know what Texas PP taxes are. Anyone? Do you have to pay big taxes on your vehicles annually?

Tenn. is a state to look at... they have no taxes there except Federal Income taxes ...I think. Well, taxes on real estate property too... but no state income or car taxes. Rick is that correct?

Funny thing, I got my SC personal property tax bill for my 1984 Ford Bronco ll yesterday.... value approx $1500.00. Tax bill was for $796.24. After I regained consciousness I called the tax office and suggested to them that this might be a *little* high on a $1500.00 vehicle. She laughed and apologized
and said it should be $29.68.
