When we get a settlement form the insurance on our totaled AS we hope to hit the road for an extended vacation of several months. To fight the high cost of campgrounds we are thinking of joiming an RV club such as Camper Clubs of America. The Escapee's looks useful for all-around message handling and so on. What do you folks think about the various clubs and their worth.

Also, what is the deal in registering a rig in a low tax state like Texas? The sales tax and registration come to close tp $3500 her in CA. After that it's just under a thousand a year for registration. Yippee! There must be a sane and legal alternative to all this.

What have you folks discoverd to circumvent the high cost of taxes in some states. I have heard that Nevada, Texas and Florida are the states to register in but am unsure of the individual advantages and disadvantages for each state. Can anyone help.
