I will get one before I hook up again............. no, two, the second to insure that I don't lose the first (c:

What I don't understand is what does the one that's installed in the Airstream for? Does it just not work?

It works- the problem is it does not protect anything upline from it. My installed regulator is located in the false bottom of the triple wardrobe on the roadside of my 31'. Therefore, to protect everything upline of the regulator (hoses, inline exterior filter, water line up to the regulator) I use a Marshall adjustable brass regulator with a gauge. True, high water pressure that can result in damage is a somewhat rare occurrence, but I have seen it happen with my own eyes. Think of the surge protection you use for your laptop- cheap insurance.
