In some of the "big block" GMC setups (the 454 in my Argosy MH for example) the tranny cooler is built right into the bottom of the main radiator rather than being a separate visible unit. Get down underneath and look at the plumbing. If there is a tranny cooler there will be a line from the tranny to the bottom of the radiator, and another going back. They may not be obvious but they will be there.
