Ted, take a look for yourself. A tranny cooler is quite thin, and I find it hard to believe there is not room for it. Tranny cooler plus fan? Maybe not. In which case follow Jim's idea of an aluminum scoop which will supplement the air flow. And consider putting it farther out front, behind the grill. It can (and
should be) mounted not on the radiator but on a part of or an extension of the frame. Get creative if your mechanic is not; try a Midas shop, maybe. But let me suggest strongly that your trans. oil go
to the new oil cooler, then return to the stock cooler in the radiator before going back to the tranny. Rationale: transmission oil should not ever be operating cold, no longer than it takes the radiator to heat up. In the winter if you run from the stock cooler to your auxilliary and then back to the tranny, it may, and in cold climates will be, toooooo cold. The stock cooler will ensure that it has been warmed, and
the combination of coolers will keep it from getting too hot.
