FYI The group, everybody who is towing should actually be using one of the many synthetic transmission fluids on the market. I personally use the Mobil-1 stuff, along with the synthetic gear lube and Delvac-1 diesel engine oils. Reason? The synthetics are designed from scratch to resist and operate at much higher temperatures than any petrochemical based product. In cold weather, they stay fluid and don't become stiff, therefore better startine, and MUCH superior protection for all the moving parts. They are a bit more costly than regular stuff, but considering the costs associated with automobiles and trucks lately, the more insurance against failures, the better I like it.
