Tom:

Welcome aboard yourself!   To start a vintage thread, what type or brand and model of tail lights are you currently using on your '53 A/S?     Mine are long gone and I'm looking for decent replacement for my '53 A/S.   A VAC member in CA is using old 1950's Chevy pick up tail lights on his 1950 A/S and they look pretty good. But I think he had to cut out some metal to install
them, and I' do not want to cut large holes in the skin of my A/S.

Instead, I prefer to keep the wire hole as small a possible, which means surface mounted
lights.  And since my rear end is one continuous curve across the entire back with no flat area in the center, I need some lights large or bright enough to be seen and safely visible when mounted flush, which means is it perhaps facing 30 degrees or so away from straight rearward.  Any idea what Coop is using on the rear of his '49?     Any other thoughts or suggestions?
