Steve has a good idea with the data base. I can think of a multitude of items we need to know the origional specs and manufacturer and model #s for. Then we could enter the available replacement items we have uncovered.
I need right now, for instance:
50'S WINDOW GASKETS
50'S DOOR GASKETS
TAIL AND RUNNING LIGHTS
ADAPTER FOR '50'S EXTERIOR POWER PLUG
SOURCE FOR PERIOD SIZE AND STYLE FLOOR TILES
SOURCE FOR REPRODUCTION FABRICS
A COMPANY THAT WILL RETROFIT A NEW COOLING SYSTEM INTO A PERIOD FRIDGE
(I'm not about to lose that beautiful fifties kitchen look for a flat laminate faced replacement) And because I haven't checked out all the systems in all the trailers I know I'll need MANY VALVES, SWITCHES GASKETS, COUPLINGS, AND OTHER FITTINGS.
We do need a data base that consists of the items we find we need to fix or replace and then the options people have discovered from replacement parts to totally new systems that work - then a scorecard for reports on performance through the years.
I am not a computer adept, but it seems to me that we need this every bit as much as the campground base, if not more so.
Any thoughts?
