Jim,

This sounds good. Mole-Richardson makes lights for the film business and has a white, heat resistant spray paint for the inside of reflectors for lights. It has occurred to me that it would work well to produce an even, bright reflection through the trailer exterior lights and coat the steel interiors to retard rust, especially if they were primed with grey auto body primer. The M/R paint is good, but it might be expensive and a coat of grey primer topped with a couple coats of flat white (using Rustoleum or KRYLON for reliability) would probably work as well.

I have some of the new teardrops on the Bubble and they are. like you said, pretty thin-based. They also don't quite fit the footprint of the old ones and, thirdly, the plastic is thinner giving them a spottier effect. ( I can't describe the effect it had on me the first time my 26 footer was lit up for travel at dusk with all the running lights aglow.)

It would be great to get rid of the rust-producing casings. I'll let you know when I get some lenses scoped out.

I'm also going to get to the storage place and measure ruined panels on the Bubble so I can get the data to you for an estimate.

Keep up the good work,

Tom
