What ever you do be careful with what you use. My partner spilled salt from margaretas and caused rust to appear. I tried a rust remover and caused an awful  looking stain. The rust didn't look too bad after all. Any abrasive will cause a different finish too. I really don't have a solution, just know what not to do, I ruined mine already.
