The old Clivus-Multrum from Sweden used peat moss for sprinling. At the end of a year you could retrieve a bucket of fully composted waste. The drawback: it required two stories. The tank/digester was in the basement, the toilet and kitchen disposal connection were on the second floor. It is all in the old "Whole Earth Catalog (Access to Tools)" Find one.
