Welcome to the world of coatings on aluminum. I call it a temporary Fix for Warranty . It's coming off in time. The new 99 s have all new type applied on a BRUSHED finish to get the coat to stick-um. I also heard Alcoa is precoating them. I being a Aviation man have watched them do just about everything to the skin and to the paint compositions to get a paint job to last 5 years. Note this ,the poly paint formulas have been in aviation many years. Answer this, how long is your warranty ? do they give you the Walie stuff and show you how to use it ? do they tell you how often to do it ? do they tell you the does and don'ts for exterior care? Or do they grab your check and run for happy hour ? You should see some of the corrosions I find under those coatings(FILIFORM) makes me sick to see such a piece of Class Structure Wally Byam Designed and given to us be screwed up with a temporary coating that's going to fail.

DO not put Alkaline cleaners on the Airstream(Simple Green), use DAWN. Better Keep it washed like you do your Auto. The coating has a PLUS factor for Failure the Closer you get to the Equator, Big City, Oceans or FOG, Foundries, Steel mills , and under your favorite three with sap and bird sh__ .

Alright Class lets tak-um notes and see if you can deal with the real deal.
