Hunter: Since the guy has a working setup, have him try connecting your antenna and receiver to his antenna feed lines and set and see if your stuff is working at all. His system will eliminate or confirm your equipment.

"coach distribution" refers to the coaxial cable from the input jack on the trailer, to the tv set outlets inside.

As I mentioned earlier, there is probably a surge protector of some kind in the input line. You will also find a "splitter" where the incoming line is divided into two or more lines which run to the tv set outlets. Sometimes you will find a "distribution amplifier", probably wired into a 120VAC service outlet, that splits the cables. These amplifiers also have a DC blocking setup that will stop the satellite receiver / LNB from working.

FYI: Winegard makes a satellite dish antenna that supposedly mounts in place of the TV antenna mast and antenna assembly that is on many RV's. That is another possibility, but the ability to move the dish around to get a good look angle at the satellite when around trees is the counter argument to a permanent mounting. (One of Murphy's laws states that there will be a tree or two directly in line with the satellite position at your campsite when you use a permanent antenna mount!)

Hope this helps !

BTW Which end of the country are you in ? Come to Louisiana for great food and nice people and I will fix the thing for you, and maybe get you into Ham Radio too !
