Speaking of Satellite

I recently also purchased a satellite system for my RV and subscribed to Direct TV. I only use the system for the weekends, once or twice a month.

Direct TV does allow me to call them to have the system activated and deactivated so I only pay for the days that I in my airstream (that's good).

The problem is the network channels. Direct TV says they can only use my home address to determine if I have the right to receive network channels through my satellite. I live in Houston and can easily pickup network channels through standard antenna or cable (at my home) so I do not qualify.

Direct TV said I can ask the local networks to give me a waiver. I have sent letters to the local networks asking permission to receive their signal through satellite. The letter said the system was for my RV and for remote use only. ABC is the only network that has replied and they said NO!

Has anyone else had this problem. Any ideas?
