Rich, I have my satellite connected in the bedroom but first I had to bypass the normal connector which includes a booster. The satellite connection needs to be direct with no gadgets.

I take the dish in when I leave. I have it on a light tripod and use a gallon of water to hold it down. It all worked well until now and I just can't find the satellite.
